British Marine and Marina Industries Association Founded in 2009, the Global Marina Institute stands out for its independent and globally recognized certification system for the marina industry. GMI’s certification system consists of three levels: Intermediate Marina Manager (IMM), Advanced Marina Manager (AMM), and Certified Marina Manager (CMM). The IMM program, which forms the first level of the system, is designed for professionals with at least one year of experience in the marina industry. The four-day training program covers key topics in marina management, including marina operations and sustainability, commercial performance and budget management, customer experience, leadership and human resources, risk management, and environmental responsibility. The evaluation process conducted at the end of the program marks the first step on the professional development path leading to AMM and CMM certifications for participants.
The AMM program, which constitutes the second stage, focuses on advanced management topics such as strategic planning, revenue management, crisis management, and environmental sustainability, while the CMM—the system’s highest level—is recognized as one of the most prestigious individual certification credentials in the marina sector. The certification process—which includes comprehensive portfolio preparation, a consulting process, and evaluation by an international jury—provides managers with a globally recognized professional qualification.

The IMM program, to be held at Kıyı İstanbul Marina, will be conducted with the participation of GMI-certified international instructors. The training team also includes the Director of Kıyı İstanbul Marina, who holds the title of Certified Marina Manager (CMM) Dilek Seven ...will be featured.
