Yalıkavak Marina is proud to be the main sponsor of the ‘3rd MOST Bodrum Fishing Tournament' held in Bodrum Yalıkavak between August 9-12. The tournament held in Yalıkavak is organized in accordance with the rules of the IGFA (International Game Fish Association), which is headquartered in the United States and celebrated its 78th anniversary last year.
Sport Fishing, the most passionate, eco-friendly, exciting, and trendy sport on the seas, is transforming into a unique experience this week at the MOST Bodrum Tournament, supported by Yalıkavak Marina. Sponsored by Yalıkavak Marina as the main sponsor, and with the support of Ortaklar Otomotiv, Volvo, Arvento, Gözen Air Services, Freebird, Damat, Promar, Seafari, Jigging Turkey Kılıç, and Namet, this year's MOST Bodrum Tournament will feature 50 sport fishing boats and 450 competitors.
During the 4-day tournament, participants will fish for swordfish and tuna using specially equipped boats and earn points based on the length and weight of the fish caught. Additionally, anglers can earn more points by practicing catch-and-release, ensuring the fish are returned to the sea in good condition. Combining all these technical aspects and features, the MOST Bodrum Tournament, held in the “Offshore Big Game” category, is undoubtedly becoming one of the most popular competitions eagerly watched by all Turkish sport fishing enthusiasts and international guests.
Mekin Gözen (Gözen Aviation YKB.), Turgut Konukoğlu (Sanko Holding), Necmettin Yay (Seafari Fishing CEO), Attorney Erim Bener (Bener Law Firm), Sinan Kosif (Kosifler Group), Attorney Can Özer (Özer Law Firm), Dr. Serdar Günseren (IGFA Turkey), and Architect Sinan KURAN (KRN Architecture); all members of the Board of Directors, who are experts in their respective fields, professionals in the business world, and fishing enthusiasts, come together at the MOST Tournament.
The MOST Bodrum Tournament, which broke the ‘Turkey Tournament Record’ in 2017 with a 116 kg tuna catch, guarantees an extremely exciting festival atmosphere at Yalıkavak Marina in 2018.
