Making a statement after the Cabinet Meeting, President Recep Tayyip Erdo\u011fan announced that the VAT rate was increased to 18 percent in the sale of yachts, cotra boats and cruise ships.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Making a statement after the Cabinet Meeting, President Recep Tayyip Erdo\u011fan announced a VAT reduction in some products and said that the VAT rate in yacht and boat sales was increased to 18 percent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the statement made by the President, the following was said regarding the sale of yachts and boats: <\/p>\n\n\n\n

”Oto galericilerin ara\u00e7 al\u0131m sat\u0131m\u0131ndan elde ettikleri kar ile yat, kotra tekne ve gezinti gemilerinin sat\u0131\u015f\u0131nda halen %1 olan KDV oran\u0131n\u0131 %18’e y\u00fckseltiyoruz.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Explaining the sectors where VAT reduction was made, Erdo\u011fan said the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

* Temel ihtiya\u00e7 maddelerinden olan deterjan, sabun, tuvalet ka\u011f\u0131d\u0131, pe\u00e7ete, bebek bezi gibi \u00fcr\u00fcnlerin KDV’sini %18’den %8’e indirme karar\u0131 ald\u0131k.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

* We are setting VAT as %8 for all food and beverage services. We are reducing the VAT rate of %V to %8, which is currently applied to hotels such as 1st class business 3 stars and above.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

* Sat\u0131n al\u0131nan konut, nerede olursa olsun metre karesine g\u00f6re de\u011fi\u015fen, ayn\u0131 kademeli KDV uygulamas\u0131na tabi olacakt\u0131r. Yani net alan\u0131 150 metre kareyi a\u015fmayan yerlerde KDV oran\u0131 %8’dir. Bu b\u00fcy\u00fckl\u00fc\u011f\u00fc a\u015fan konutlar\u0131n ilk 150 metre karesi i\u00e7in %8, a\u015fan k\u0131sm\u0131 i\u00e7in %18 KDV uygulanacakt\u0131r.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

* Afet riski alt\u0131ndaki alanlar\u0131n d\u00f6n\u00fc\u015ft\u00fcr\u00fclmesi kanunu kapsam\u0131ndaki konutlarda ise 150 metre kareye kadar %1, a\u015fan k\u0131sm\u0131 i\u00e7in ise %18 KDV tahakkuku yap\u0131lacakt\u0131r.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

* We are reducing the financing burden on the construction sector by reducing the VAT rate on land and land to %8.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

* Another arrangement is aimed at exporters. Exporters, who are exempted from the VAT they pay during the manufacturing phase, will be offered the option of refunding up to a certain percentage of the export value instead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

* We are changing the VAT exemption method for works within the scope of investment incentive certificate, and we are including tourism investments in this scope. With the new method, manufacturers will be able to carry out the same transactions without paying VAT instead of requesting a VAT refund after completing their investments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

* Sa\u011fl\u0131k Bakanl\u0131\u011f\u0131 mevzuat\u0131 kapsam\u0131ndaki t\u0131bbi cihazlar\u0131n KDV’sini %18’Den %8’e indiriyoruz.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

* In the agricultural sector, we are reducing VAT on the delivery of all kinds of certified seeds, seedlings and saplings to %1, and VAT on some products such as milk collection tanks to %8.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

* We are radically solving the problems of taxpayers who are concerned about liability with the voluntary, full withholding practice, and we are increasing the exemption period from 1 year to 3 years for residences and workplaces acquired by foreigners in order to bring foreign currency to our country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
