The world's first electric CTV will be built in the UK with Volvo Penta IPS.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Volvo Penta is leading the creation of the world's first refurbished Electric Crew Transfer Vessel (E-CTV).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The ECTV will be achieved by replacing the diesel engines of a crew transfer vessel with a zero-emission Volvo Penta solution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One of ten pioneering developments<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The use of an existing vessel in the project has the advantage of providing better circularity and sustainability. It also makes it one of ten developments funded by the UK government as part of the industry-led transition to net zero.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Volvo Penta will provide the power solution for a ground-breaking vessel for the UK's offshore industry. The company will supply the advanced Inboard Performance System (IPS) for the world's first powered electric crew transfer vessel (E-CTV).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
