\u201cBurcu Mutlugil states, \u201dIn order to broadcast music on boats, a Music Broadcast Permit Certificate must be obtained from the provincial directorates of the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization, and Climate Change,\" emphasizing that this certificate is of great importance not only for entertainment but also for environmental sustainability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\u201cThe Permission Process Isn't Just About Filling Out a Form\u201d<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n
Mutlugil reminds boat owners seeking permission that they must complete certain technical and legal documents, noting that the process is more complicated than one might think.
\u201cPermits cannot be obtained without submitting documents such as an acoustic report, tax certificate, workplace license or tourism business certificate, signature circular, and photocopy of identity documents,\u201d he says.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\u201cTuition Fee Set at 10,437 TL for 2025\u2019<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n
Mutlugil also shared the amount to be paid during the application process, stating, \u201cAccording to information published on the official website of the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization, and Climate Change, the fee for 2025 has been announced as 10,437 TL.\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\u201cMusic Broadcasts Are Strictly Prohibited in Turtle Areas\u201d<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n
Mutlugil also points out that the bans are not solely due to a lack of permits, drawing attention to the issue of environmental protection:
\u201cBetween May 15 and September 15, from 8:00 PM to 8:00 AM, playing music in sea turtle nesting areas is completely prohibited. The absolute silence rule applies in these areas, which are designated on MU\u00c7EV maps,\u201d he says, adding that inspections have been increased.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\u201cFailure to Comply with Prohibitions Will Result in Severe Penalties\u201d<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n
Mutlugil also clearly states the penalties that will be applied to unauthorized or prohibited music broadcasts during the new period:
\u201cVessels that violate this regulation will face administrative fines ranging from 500,000 TL to 3,000,000 TL. The Coast Guard will actively monitor compliance.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n\u201cCopyright Notice: Unauthorized Music Use May Result in Penalties\u201d<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n
\u201cCopyright is just as important as environmental regulations,\u201d says Mutlugil, emphasizing that music broadcasts on boats must comply not only with environmental permits but also with copyright laws:
\u201cPursuant to Law No. 5846 on Intellectual and Artistic Works, it is mandatory to enter into a licensing agreement with professional associations such as MESAM, MSG, and MSK for the commercial use of music on vessels. Otherwise, monetary compensation, suspension of broadcasts, and administrative penalties may be imposed.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n\u201cIt was a call for awareness on behalf of the sector.\u201d<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n
