Bayliss Boatworks' first cruising boat meets the sea.
Sequentis, the first recreational boat built by Bayliss Boatworks, a private sport fishing boat manufacturer, has been launched.
Sequentis was designed as a life support system for the South Florida live bait crew. In engineering the 360-degree fishable reve live well plan, our team worked closely with the captain and various leading live bait fishing experts to create an innovative system for this structure.
In keeping with the 360-degree fishing approach, we have installed two forward livewells, a traditional livewell on the port bow and four bait tubes on the starboard bow. The transom also has both a livewell and a fish box. In the cockpit, a custom-made removable livewell with built-in rocket launcher would be a versatile element of the build. There are also live well mounts or additional bait tubes in the service lockers for traveling on deck. All live wells are powered by either a single variable speed AC power pump or dual DC power Hooker electric pumps. Proper pump selection and drainage were crucial to ensure the proper functioning of the complex system. This is the first structure we have completed that includes live wells at the head, which is unique in the industry. Accessibility to the livewell allows full access to the bait with ease.
Attention to detail
The exterior overflows with efficient storage and attention to detail. Hand-selected teak forms the cockpit deck, raised bridge floor and foredeck as well as the transom.
The bridge has a team center with two Release Marine helm chairs on the starboard side, a dining table on the starboard side and a sofa on the port side.
In the bow there is a sun pad and a forward bench, as well as an anchor locker in front of the livewell and bait tubes. The starboard bridge bench seat has a quick-change helium tank with special brackets for ease of use when the wind is light. On days when the kites get wet, the aft bridge bench seat has a special storage area with fans for drying on the backrest.
