We talked to Ömer Malaz, the owner of Numarine, about the company's development and goals.

I'm Omer Malaz, As you know, I come from an industrialist family. We own Malazlar I can say that I grew up in a match factory, industrialism is in my DNA. I don't think it's an exaggeration. After the state of the world and the developing events, the match I decided to leave our factory and start my own business. then I decided to enter the sea and yachting sector, which was my childhood passion. and in 2002 I founded Numarine. We are celebrating our 18th anniversary, 141 boats we have produced and delivered, we have representative offices in 13 countries, we have a presence in 7 seas of the world. our boats are sailing. Our goal is to be among the top 5 brands in the world.
Annual What is your production capacity?
Our factory was the first When it was founded, it was planned to produce 52- 55 feet boats, at that time the same we were planning to produce 20-25 55-foot boats at the moment, then 102Rph and the 78 models came in and raised our average height a little bit. bought 3 years ago we made a very correct decision to enter the explorer style boat market, so we We have achieved a very rising sales graph. At the moment, 10-12 boats at the same time but there is one very important point I want to underline, the average we've grown from 18 to 28 meters tall!
32XP and 26XP your models have attracted a lot of attention from buyers, a little bit of these models can we talk about it?
As I mentioned before, it was a very brave decision, a factory that produces boats that do 30 knots suddenly switched to boats that produce 13-15 knots. This means completely different engineering and technical knowledge. But I think we did our job so well that we sold 12 26XPs, 4 32XPs and our new model 37XP in 3 years. By the way, our XP series has a new starter model: 22XP. We have also sold our first boat.

Your sales network Can you give us some information about you? For example, in which countries do you have representative offices? Which countries do you receive the most interest from?
America, Europe and Turkey are the countries we are most interested in at the moment. To tell the truth 75 percent of our production is sold abroad and 25 percent is sold in Turkey. was continuing. For the first time in 2020, 90 percent of our sales were in Turkey. took place. From America to Hong Kong, from France to Australia, 13 we have representation.
Ahead Do you have any new models planned for the process?

We worked hard. We never said, “OK, we are us.” We always tried to learn. We did not think of copying what others did. We aimed to carry ourselves further by learning from them. We set our own goals, we are the first company in the sector to enter the Turquality program. We have a young, hardworking management team. We do not avoid working with consultants. In short, we work hard.

Pandemic How did this process affect the yacht building sector?
I think positive has had an impact. People felt that they could have a more isolated and beautiful time on their boats. they understood. That's why we launched our “This is Isolation” campaign. This is the campaign attracted a lot of attention. My impressions and sensations are that for a while that we are experiencing a very active pandemic after the recession.
