Mikron Boya, which has succeeded in becoming the preferred choice of the sector in ship and yacht paints and equipment, aims to increase its market share both with its dealer network and the paint market it opened in Tuzla. As PPG Sigma Turkey distributor and Hempel Industrial Paints Istanbul dealer, Mikron stands out with its understanding that prioritizes customer satisfaction and the support it offers after sales. Could you briefly introduce Mikron Boya? How long have you been in the sector? Which brands are your distributor/representative?
Mikron Boya started its business life in Yalova in 2014. We have been operating in the maritime sector since 1994. We bring products such as marine, industrial paints, painting equipment and marine consumables together with consumers. We continue our business life with three companies as Mikron Boya, Hemmar Boya and Mikrotech Atölye. We are also the owner of Mikron Marine brand and the distributor of PPG Sigma Turkey and HEMPEL Yacht. We are also the Istanbul dealer of HEMPEL Industrial paints.

Can you tell us about Mikron Boya's product range? Which paint solutions do you offer for ships and yachts?
We use our PPG Sigma and Mikron Marine brands in the marine segment. We work with Hempel brand for the yacht group. We offer the fastest service to our consumers with our wide range of products such as marine paints, yacht paints, yacht cleaning products, various pastes, industrial paints and paint consumables, with our own warehouse and stock capacity of 120 thousand liters.
You have opened a new paint market and you are making a difference in the sector in this sense. Could you tell us about your newly opened market? How many such markets does Mikron Boya have? Do you plan to expand your network with new markets?
We opened our Mikron Boya Maket in Tuzla, the heart of the sector. We are at the service of the sector with all kinds of products that may be needed in ship and yacht paints and equipment. There are 220 items of products in our market. When it comes to dealerships, we started to take steps to create our dealer network in 2017. We want our products to be easily accessible at every point where they are needed. With this in mind, we reached seven dealers in two years. As of the end of 2019, we have dealers in Çeşme, Fethiye, Pendik, Marmaris, Gemlik, Sarıyer and Antalya. Our goal is to reach 20-25 dealers and be present wherever there is sea.

How do your products differ from other brands? What are the points that make you different?
We offer service with a customer-oriented approach, without compromising on quality. I think this is the biggest feature that makes us who we are. The customer will be satisfied with the product, will see their work in a quality manner and will benefit from it, so that they will continue to prefer us. We always stand behind our products with our strong brand. The reason why our customers insistently prefer us is the trust we instill with our after-sales services. We create a fast, easily accessible, reassuring corporate value. As we stand behind our products, we always stand by our customers in practical and technical terms. Our products are also popular in the market. Therefore, our products have a stable graph in the market. We also provide advantages to our customers with our wide product range and the payment and maturity facilities we offer.

What would you say about your current market share and your future targets?
Our quality products are in serious demand in the market. Our rising sales graph shows that we are increasing our share in the market day by day. We have an annual volume of 20 million liras in the market. With our young and dynamic structure, innovative approaches and dealer network, our target is to reach a volume of 30 million liras. We are taking the necessary steps towards this goal. We are expanding our team; we have accelerated our efforts to expand our dealer network. The Mikron Boya Market, which we opened in Tuzla, is an important step towards this goal. As before, we will continue to work with an understanding that prioritizes customer satisfaction, supports its customers with after-sales services and a structure that does not compromise on quality.
