Nautilus is a new and different kind of expedition yacht, tailored to be a go-anywhere vessel, offering the best interior living spaces, a highly functional layout and all the amenities and conveniences you would expect from much larger yachts. Both the exterior and interior of the yacht are designed by DeBasto Design.
As a key design choice, the utility boat deck is located forward of the superstructure, allowing for a complete separation between guests and service areas. This deck has a length of 13.4 meters (approximately 43 feet), allowing the storage of a utility boat of up to 12 meters (39 feet), a rarity on a 62-meter (203-foot) yacht.

“Naturally, we had to provide space for some professional quality cranes,” says Luiz DeBasto, founder of DeBasto Design. “Since regular use of the cranes would be inevitable, in order to avoid the appearance of an industrial cargo ship, we integrated the cranes into the overall design, thus allowing them to become part of the superstructure, creating a unique and revolutionary solution. If you look at the profile, you will have a hard time spotting the cranes.” Luiz DeBasto continues, “Although they are almost invisible at first glance, we did not compromise on the capacity of these two cranes, each with a lifting capacity of 10,000 kg (22,000 pounds). These cranes are designed to ensure the safe launch and recovery of boats or submarines, sailing vessels or cars, or any vehicle within the 10,000 kg weight parameters.”

DeBasto has also placed the owners' luxury staterooms on the upper deck, facing forward over the open space of the forward auxiliary boat deck - surrounded by two exterior terraces, with a glass protruding over the bow. Another unique solution for the owners' luxury staterooms is the spectacular 270-degree view of the horizon, seen in complete privacy even from the bed.

In addition, there are five luxurious guest cabins, a full-size movie theater (optionally convertible into a seventh guest cabin), a swimming pool on the main aft deck and a full Beach Club on the lower aft deck, which can be accessed safely from inside the boat. Drop-down two-story balconies extend the Beach Club area to provide the closest access to the water. To complete the wellness area, there is also a gym and sauna.
The upper deck is another entertainment area with a hot tub surrounded by sunbathing cushions, two conversation areas and a full-size bar. There is also access to the radio room with a full view, the captain's cabin and the wheelhouse.

Crew areas are completely separated from all decks, starting from the tank deck level all the way to the top deck, including access to the guest cabin on the lower deck, offering an efficient service traffic pattern. In addition, there is a captain's cabin on the bridge deck, six in-room crew cabins on the lower deck, plus two lounges. Below decks, all connected below decks, there is a general crew mess and galley, as well as a small lounge for deck crew in the forecastle. Forward of the auxiliary boat deck, there is a dedicated workshop area for the maintenance of the auxiliary boat, and a mooring space on the forward bow. The fully open forecastle deck can be used as a touch-and-go helipad.
