Speaking at the opening of the fair, Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism Ahmet Misbah Demircan stated that 85 percent of world trade is carried out by sea transport, adding that the share of maritime tourism is very valuable.
Demircan stated that the fair is a window to trade, leisure, entertainment, and cultural tourism, noting the following:

“Each window opens onto beautiful seas. Vision, aesthetics, technology, innovation, entrepreneurship... In the past, tourism was limited to the sea and sand on our southern shores. But today, Erzurum is considering how it can benefit from tourism and discussing the need to make investments in this area. Gaziantep is thinking about how it can become a leader in gastronomy. Şanlıurfa wants to continue the leap it has achieved with Göbeklitepe. The Ministry of Culture and Tourism is aware that it can keep our cultural values alive through tourism.‘

The President of the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TİM), İsmail Gülle, also emphasized that the future of the ship and yacht sector is very bright and that it is a sector that exports in the luxury segment, which is of great importance.
Gülle noted that while Turkey's average export growth in 2019 was 2.2 percent, the sector achieved an 11 percent increase, exporting to 101 countries and successfully flying the Turkish flag across seven continents. He continued:

“Turkey's exports to 101 countries in the ship and yacht sector are commendable in terms of the performance of Turkish exporters. However, they also indicate that we still have work to do in terms of both our average export distance within the sector and the average distance of our total exports.

Norway imports 18% of its ship and yacht sector imports from Turkey, making our country the top source of imports for Norway. Exporting at these levels to a country like Norway, which is a major player in the global maritime market, demonstrates our country's expertise, experience, and accumulated knowledge in the sector.’

Over 10,000 brands and more than 3,500 marine vessels are on display.
According to the information provided, the CNR Eurasia Boat Show, which hosts over 250 companies in an 85,000-square-meter area, displays more than 3,500 marine vehicles from over 10,000 brands, including mega yachts, boats, motorboats, and sailboats.
