TURKEY SAILING FEDERATION LAUNCHES EDUCATION INITIATIVE

The Turkish Sailing Federation launched the ’TYF Training“ digital platform by creating a new curriculum and digital infrastructure to improve the current functioning of the Turkish National Sailing Training Program (TUYEP) with the aim of bringing those who want to learn sailing in all classes and at all levels together with amateur sailing clubs and sailing training centers.

TURKEY SAILING FEDERATION LAUNCHES EDUCATION INITIATIVE

“The ”TYF Training“ digital platform was realized with the aim of providing the same quality of sailing training in every corner of the country with a standardized and comprehensive training curriculum in line with international norms and to support the training of well-equipped sailing instructors. The system, which will also work in integration with the ”TYF Sailing Information System", where all operations from license registration to race registration are carried out, will also provide a management software service to amateur sailing clubs and sailing training centers. In addition, they will be able to increase the number of participants through an advertising campaign to be launched by the Federation.

The project aims to popularize and promote sailing across Turkey, to teach sailing across Turkey through competent people and to control contrary practices, to brand the training certification across Turkey and to encourage instructors as a profession, to create a healthy infrastructure for those who are new to sailing and to ensure that they make the right start, to make the documents requested by athletes to present to their schools about their out-of-school activities easily accessible through the system and to make it official through the steps of certification.

“In the system, which will work in integration with the ”Sailing Information System", all participants will enter the registration system from the first day they start their sailing life. All training evaluations and end-of-training achievements will be evaluated through the system and clubs will be able to perform all transactions through a very practical system that they manage themselves by working in an integrated manner with the Federation without the need for any approval and similar written procedures.

Fast and digital education

Designed as a system where all trainers can access all kinds of curriculum, content, visual and written materials that they will use while giving their trainings by logging in with their own passwords, trainers will be able to give their trainings without any additional preparation on the “TYF Training” digital platform.

The system, which covers the processes in 4 different training categories as sailboat (Dingi), windsurfing, kitesurfing and sailing yachting, will enable participants who have completed the trainings in these categories to plan their next steps. Thanks to an extremely simple navigation and training content structure, especially beginners will be able to easily understand and choose the most suitable training for themselves, and then they will be able to easily search by location or training and reach the nearest accredited center on the website. Finally, they can easily register for the training they are interested in by experiencing a modern registration process.

The TYF Education platform, which was established by the Turkish Sailing Federation to provide amateur clubs and sailing schools with a software support to manage their training operations, set out with the aim of reducing printed documents, reducing e-mail traffic, digitalizing the registration process and making training materials available to clubs and sailing schools.

Standardization in education will be ensured

Since it has been observed that there are big differences in the standardization of the training provided, and that no matter where you receive the training, you receive the same quality standards, the TYE Training project aims to provide quality initial training, which is the most important factor in the development of sailing, to beginners all over the country. It is also observed that there are problems in institution/service recipient relations. This new project, which is planned as an end-to-end service, aims to solve all these problems.
