Damen Shipyard Antalya and Kaş Marina received the Environmental Service Award from Akdeniz University.
The results of the Akdeniz University Environmental Service Awards2021, traditionally organized by Akdeniz University Environmental Problems Research and Application Center, have been announced.
The awards given to individuals, institutions and organizations that have served for the protection and development of environmental values found their owners in the categories of Science Honor, Science Service, Science Incentive and Special Award as well as the scale of Akdeniz University, Turkey and Antalya.
Commenting on the results of the 24-year traditional Environmental Service Awards, Akdeniz University Rector Prof. Dr. Özlenen Özkan said, “As Akdeniz University, we attach great importance to the social, sports and environmental awareness of our students as much as we value education, training and science. With the traditional Akdeniz University Environmental Service Awards, environmentally sensitive projects of both our students and citizens are evaluated and finalized within the scope of the Environmental Service Awards and encouraged to increase social awareness.”.
Özkan congratulated the individuals, institutions and organizations that have been awarded for their efforts to protect the environment and protect the future of the environment.
AWARD CEREMONY ON MARCH 24
Within the scope of 2021 Environmental Service Awards, Akdeniz University Environmental Problems Research and Application Center Director Prof. Dr. Şule Orman congratulated those who were entitled to receive awards for their work for the environment and said that the Environmental Service Awards ceremony will be held on March 24 at Akdeniz University Faculty of Law Conference Hall.
Kaş Marina was awarded for its “Environmentally Friendly Marina Management and Environmental Trainings”; Damen Shipyard Antalya for its “Sustainable Environmental Studies”; and Sea Turtles Mediterranean Seals Sand Lilies Protection and Sustenance Association - DEKAFOK for its “Environmental Studies and Projects”.
