Halevai's fully electric boat, the HALEVAI2050, is coming to market. The first prototypes will be ready in the US this summer.
In the name of a sustainable environment, electric marine vessels are now attracting attention as much as electric cars. Sea transportation, which still does not attract as much attention as the highway in individual transportation in the world, is important for sustainability, especially with sailing boats. Now, sea transportation is becoming more attractive with electric boats.
Halevai, a US-based electric boat and motor manufacturer, has started to make a name for itself in the sector. The first prototypes will start to be prepared in the US this summer. The marine vehicles will be delivered a year later. The price of HALEVAI2050 will start at 95 thousand dollars.
The boat will be approximately 8 meters long and have a capacity of 10 seats. The boat with 2 battery options has a range of 50 miles. It is also said that the boat will save 60 percent in fuel and maintenance costs.
HALEVAI Co-Founder and CEO Frank Heidinger said, “We live in the age of electrification. We see producing electric boats as a step towards the use of cleaner energy sources,” said Frank Heidinger, Co-Founder and CEO of HALEVAI, explaining why they got into this business. Electric boats, which are part of the recreational boat market, are among the most preferred marine vehicles by consumers.
According to the news in Webrazzi, last year, electric boat manufacturer Arc announced that it had received a new investment in a series A investment round. The $30 million Series A round was led by Greg Reichow, a former Tesla executive.
