Adding Es Line to its maritime references, Hexagon delivered the deck and hardtop mold models of the motorboat model. The company, which also provides engineering support to boat builders, has reached an agreement with Damen Shipyards Antalya for the third project.

Hexagon Studio, the largest independent R&D company in Turkey, produced the deck and hardtop mold models for the 17-meter motorboat model Es Line. The deck and hardtop were produced on two separate workbenches at the same time, speeding up production.
This year, Hexagon Studio added Damen Shipyard Antalya to its prestigious yacht builder references such as Sirena Marine, Borusan Marine, Azimut Italy, RMK Marine and Es Line.
Efe Erdönmez, Business Development Officer at Hexagon Studio, says that Es Line is a new company with very big goals, and that they will continue their cooperation with new and bigger projects. Stating that they attach importance to increasing their maritime references, Erdönmez made the following statements to our magazine about Hexagon Studio's realized and ongoing projects:

Hexagon Studio Business Development Officer Efe Erdönmez
“We realized our first large-scale project with Es Line, a subsidiary of Selah Shipyard. Es Line was among the companies we met at the CNR Eurasia Boat Show in February 2014. After the fair, we showed Emirhan Selah, one of the managers of Es Line, and Burak Gençalp, the design officer, around our facility and provided them with information about our products and engineering support services. They said that they could get support from us on various issues.”
“About 2-3 months later, our collaboration started with a small project. We made the Hardtop styrofoam model. In the following times, there were small projects like this. Another boat builder, Maryacht, also contributed to the works realized.”

“We started the construction of the actual comprehensive project in May 2015. They requested the production of the complete deck and hardtop mold models of the 17-meter motorboat model. While producing the deck as a single piece on our 26-meter CNC machine, we simultaneously produced and assembled the hardtop in parts on our 6-meter CNC machine. By producing the deck and hardtop at the same time, we prevented delays. We realized the product delivery. It was a very nice and clean project that our customer was satisfied with.”

We will continue to work with Es Line, which will also have bigger projects“A visit to Selah Shipyard coincided with the time when they took molds from the model we sent. We will also make a 1/10 scale model of the boat. They will exhibit the model at fairs where they cannot take the boat. Es Line is a new company with very big goals. Their first boat was just the beginning. They will have new and bigger projects in the future. We will continue to work with them.” “It is also very important for us to work with Es Line and Selah Shipyard. Our aim is to increase our customer diversity. We continue to work with Sirena Marine and Damen Shipyards Antalya. We have reached an agreement with Damen Shipyards Antalya for the third project.”

We also want to support boat builders in engineering issues“We want to expand our customer portfolio in the maritime sector and also provide support in the field of engineering. We are in talks with different companies. We show our engineering capabilities by touring our facility and explain what we can do. In 2012, we provided engineering support to Borusan Marine. The aim of our engineering work is not to manufacture, but to support the development of infrastructures that will support manufacturing, and to make the style and engineering designs of the boat.”
“We would like to support boat builders in the Antalya, Tuzla and Gebze regions in terms of engineering. There are a few other companies we are in contact with. We are still at the proposal stage, our negotiations are ongoing. In 2016, we aim to work with new companies from the maritime sector.”

“Working with Es Line and Selah Shipyard is also very important for us. Our aim is to increase our customer diversity. We continue to work with Sirena Marine and Damen Shipyards Antalya. We have reached an agreement with Damen Shipyards Antalya for the third project. We want to expand our customer portfolio in the maritime sector and also provide support in the field of engineering. The aim of our engineering work is not to manufacture, but to support the development of infrastructures that will support manufacturing, to make the style and engineering designs of the boat.”
