Held in Göcek between May 9–13, 2025 6th TYBA Yacht Charter Show, This year, it was once again one of the most important gatherings in the Turkish yachting industry. The event, organized by TYBA – Turkish Yacht Brokers Association, showcased not only luxury yachts but also the industry's evolving vision and professional unity. We at Yacht News Turkey also attended this special event with my colleague Zeynep Ustahüseyinoğlu.

Time was limited, so we couldn't spend much time on each boat. However, we had the opportunity to examine many impressive yachts on site. In this article, we mention only a few examples; of course, the other boats we couldn't mention were also worth experiencing and praising.
Meetings at Sea: Catamarans, Gulets, and Meaningful Conversations
One of the standout boats we visited during the event was the catamaran Amelia, the newest addition to the Asmira Marine fleet. We met our dear friends Mustafa and Gonca Aslan on this elegant vessel; after a warm conversation, we had the opportunity to experience the boat. With its modern design, spacious living areas, and elegant relationship with the sea, Amelia is poised to be one of this year's most notable catamarans.

Another special meeting took place on the romantic Serenad gulet, owned by Sun Gulets. We spoke with Uğur Soyken, a member of the TYBA Board of Directors, who hosted us in this impressive atmosphere, about the place of Turkish gulets in the charter sector and the cultural heritage they carry. Serenad, as its name suggests, had a sentimental, elegant, and peaceful character.

One of the most impressive yachts at the show was the Burkut, whose interior was adorned with Fendi's stunning designs. Those who had the opportunity to experience this eye-catching yacht from Mutlutur Yachting couldn't take their eyes off its elegance.

Tersane 8 welcomed us out in the open, amidst Göcek's magnificent natural surroundings. Ece Yachting's splendid gulet stood out with its majestic hull, strong crew, and excellent cuisine.

Turk Yacht's 47-meter gulet, King Of The Sea, drew attention as one of the most impressive yachts on the water. With its white hull and striking appearance, the ”King of the Sea” deserves special mention for the deliciousness of its cuisine. It was truly magnificent.

A Message from the President
TYBA Board Chairman Serhan Cengiz, who spoke at the opening, summarized the association's progress with these words:
“As TYBA, we have built our brand since our journey began in 2016, thanks to all our yacht industry partners, our dedicated team, and the contributions of our previous management teams. The 6th TYBA Yacht Charter Show is now reaching a very large audience, including 12 international press members and our national press. TYBA exists to take Turkish yachting even further, and its story will continue with success.’

This powerful message clearly demonstrated that the organization is not just an event, but a representative of a sectoral vision.
Panels, Presentations, and Cultural Layers
The TYBA Show did not just showcase boats; it also highlighted the industry's focus on knowledge sharing and development.
Michael Frohoff's presentation titled “Storytelling in the Yacht Charter Business – How to Leverage the Marketing of the Turkish Industry” offered creative ideas on how Turkish yacht brands can globalize through storytelling.

Attorneys Aline Braggiotti and Burcu Mutlugil co-hosted a session titled “Music Broadcast Licensing for Commercial Charter Yachts in Türkiye,” which addressed the legal aspects of music broadcasting on yachts.

Zekeriya Yıldırım's presentation, “Anatolia Minor Grapes and Wine Making History,” showcased Anatolia's viticultural heritage and demonstrated how yacht tourism can be intertwined with cultural values.
The session “TYBA Contract: An Overview of Two Years of Usage,” conducted by Alev Semiz and Noyan Mutlugil, evaluated the effects of the TYBA contract in practice.

A Social Rhythm on the Sea
The yacht parties and social events held throughout the event further strengthened professional solidarity within the industry. The parties, held at sunset, provided a backdrop for special moments that renewed friendships and combined sincerity with elegance.

Additionally, events held at different times throughout the day offered participants a rich and entertaining program. Italian ice cream and wine tastings, along with presentations of local street foods, made the conversations even more enjoyable.

Gala Night: A Finale Crowned with Street Delicacies
The Gala Dinner held on the closing night once again highlighted the value TYBA brings to the sector. Sponsored by Esenyel Partners and Charti Up, this elegant evening also featured a colorful cooking competition where chefs competed with the theme of “street food.” The competition, where the winners were applauded, added a fun and delicious touch to the night.

The Peak of Yachting in Göcek
Over 50 luxury yachts and professional crews participated in this year's event. Each yacht displayed at Göcek Marina represented the high standards achieved in the charter industry through its design, comfort, and service philosophy. More than just a trade show, the TYBA Show serves as a platform for sharing and development, strengthening its role in showcasing Turkish yachting on the global stage year after year.

Thank you...
We must thank the architects of this impressive organization. Starting with TYBA Board Chairman Serhan Cengiz, Vice Chairman Noyan Mutlugil, Board Member Alev Semiz, and the entire TYBA team, the courtesy they showed in hosting us members of the press is commendable on behalf of the entire industry.
