The Doğuş Group, one of the major yacht marina operators in the Mediterranean, has proceeded with asset sales following a restructuring agreement reached with banks. The group, which is conducting negotiations for the sale of many of its assets, will sell the Flisvos Marina in Athens, which is part of the group, to its Greek partner.
Ferit Şahenk, the owner of Doğuş Group, which has become the largest marina operator in the Mediterranean Basin, has been selling off these assets one by one over the past month. Recently, Doğuş Group sat down with CVC Capital, a renowned Luxembourg-based fund managing $75 billion. Partners, which manages $75 billion, Doğuş Group has completed negotiations to sell its marinas in the United Arab Emirates, Greece, and Croatia. The Flisvos Port in Greece, where Doğuş Group has a partnership, was not included in this sale. That marina is also being sold to Doğuş's partner in the country.

As you may recall, Flisvos, one of Doğuş Group's first major marina investments abroad, is known as the most popular port in Athens, the capital of Greece. Located in the Paleon Faliron area of Athens and accommodating more than 300 boats, Doğuş Group acquired 50% of Flisvos eight years ago. Doğuş has agreed to transfer its stake in Flisvos to its partner Lamda Development SA. According to a statement made by Lamda to the Athens Stock Exchange, Doğuş Group will receive 13 million euros, or 85 million TL, for 50% of Flisvos. The sale is expected to be completed in the first quarter of this year.
