BOAT İZMİR Boat, Yacht, and Maritime Exhibition is organized by İzmir Fair Organization (İZFAŞ) under the sponsorship of İzmir Metropolitan Municipality, with the support of the İzmir Boat Manufacturers Association, the Chamber of Maritime Commerce, the Association for the Development of the Maritime Industry and Maritime Affairs (DENTUR), the Chamber of Naval Architects, the İzmir Chamber of Commerce, and KOSGEB.
IZFAŞ and Chamber of Shipping officials met to discuss marketing, promotion, and event planning for BOAT İZMİR.
At the meeting, İZFAŞ General Manager Mehmet Şakir Örs asked all sea enthusiasts to support the BAOT İZMİR Fair, saying, “The first years of fairs are very important, and this year we will be organizing BOAT İZMİR for the second time. We expect support from the Chamber of Maritime Trade in terms of participation in our fair, as well as in its promotion and events. We want our fair to be embraced and strengthened. We especially expect everyone who loves the sea to visit our fair.”.
Yusuf Öztürk, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Izmir Branch of the Chamber of Shipping, also stated that the Izmir Branch of the Chamber of Shipping attaches great importance to the fair and is ready to provide all possible support.
The fair, which was held in a single hall with 151 participants in 2012, will be held in Halls 2 and 3 this year with nearly 200 participants. In addition to domestic promotion, the fair focuses on international promotion and marketing efforts, with ongoing promotional activities in many countries, including the USA, Germany, UAE, Denmark, UK, Iceland, TRNC, Norway, Romania, New Zealand, and Greece. BOAT İZMİR, which was held for the first time in 2012, attracted significant interest from visitors. This year's fair, which will host a variety of colorful events, is open to both professionals and end consumers.
