Kaş Marina -Cheese V came first in the first stage of the cup, the race between Çengelköy and Bozcaada, leaving all its competitors behind. The 45 boats that set sail from Çengelköy, Istanbul on July 5th will complete the stages of Bozcaada, Sığacık and finally finish in Bodrum.
The 48th edition of the Naval Forces Cup, also known as the Race Down, Turkey's traditional race that sailors are eagerly awaiting, is underway. Setur Marinas, believing wholeheartedly in the success of the Kaş Marina- Cheese V team, one of the ambitious boats of the cup, became the sponsor of the boat in this challenging race. The team under the management of Levent Peynirci completed the first stage of the cup, the race between Çengelköy and Bozcaada, in 12 hours 36 minutes and 17 seconds, ranking first in its class.
Among the 45 boats that will complete the Sığacık stage and finally finish in Bodrum, the Kaş Marina -Cheese V team is very ambitious to see the podium in all 3 stages and even finish first.
The ambitious team participating in the race with Archambault 35 in the IRC II class has achieved good results in many races before. Starting from Çengelköy on Friday, July 5, the teams first reached Bozcaada. On Monday, July 8, they sailed to Sığacık and on Thursday, July 11, they will set course for Bodrum and finish in Bodrum.
