Mengi Yay Yachting, a manufacturer of motor yachts, super yachts, sailboats, and gulets, launched the first of its Virtus 47 motor series yachts built at its shipyard in Tuzla. The project, a 47.8-meter-long vessel constructed with a steel/aluminum structure, will be delivered to its owner at Pendik Marintürk Marina for a period of time for final outfitting and sea trials.
The Nb 102 yacht, one of the two other yachts currently under construction at the Mengi Yay Yachting shipyard, will be launched in May, while the final yacht in the series will be launched in June 2023. This series allows Mengi Yay Yachting to offer its customers the opportunity to build custom yachts. The table below contains comparative information about the three boats in the series, with paint colors determined by the boat owners.
Mengi Yay Yachting decided to continue the series with the production of a 47-meter yacht following the successful construction and delivery of the 44-meter Virtus project to its owner in 2020. The first boat in the Virtus 47 series launched is under 500 GT, semi-displacement, and RINA Unrestricted Charter Class C+Hull o Mach Ych, Unrestricted Navigation, DMS Compliance to REG Yacht Code Part A notation.
The exterior design of the yacht was carried out by VYD Studio, while the interior design was handled by Leonardo Santi Design. The yacht offers its owner a spacious living area with a large salon featuring balconies on both sides, as well as rear seating areas on the main and upper decks. Additionally, the balcony in the master cabin provides the customer with a unique additional living space.
