The Muğla stage of the Presidential Yacht Races has been completed.

The winners of the Muğla stage of the 2nd Presidential International Yacht Races received their awards.

The Muğla stage of the Presidential Yacht Races has been completed.

Under the auspices of the Presidency of the Republic of Turkey, with the contributions of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Youth and Sports, and in cooperation with the Governorship of Istanbul and the Governorship of Muğla, 37 sailing yachts and 300 athletes from Turkey, Ukraine, Romania, Bulgaria, Russia and the Netherlands participated in the Halicarnassus Cup.

The concert planned to be held in Muğla's Bodrum district for the award ceremony of the 2nd Presidential International Yacht Races Halicarnassus Cup was canceled due to the death of a forestry worker in a fire in Marmaris.

At the trophy ceremony held at Bodrum Castle, the winners received their trophies and medals.

Speaking at the ceremony, Ekrem Yemlihaoğlu, President of Istanbul Offshore Yacht Racing Club, said that the Presidential International Yacht Races were completed without any problems.

Bodrum District Governor Bekir Yılmaz stated that the races added color to the social and cultural life of Muğla and said, “It was a very successful organization. The races will also make a great contribution to the tourism and promotion of Bodrum.”.

Datça District Governor Mesut Çoban, Provincial Director of Culture and Tourism Zekeriya Bingöl, Provincial Director of Youth and Sports Ömer İlman, Bodrum Mayor Ahmet Aras and athletes attended the ceremony.

In the Halicarnassus Cup, the fastest boat award went to “Perlewhite”, sailed by Erkan Bilsev, who completed the course in a record time of 13 hours 56 minutes 53 seconds.

Istanbul stage of the races on October 29-31

The Istanbul stage of the races will be hosted by Galataport Istanbul on the Bosphorus on October 29 with the slogan “The city that lives on two continents”.

On the Istanbul stage, spectators at the Galataport Istanbul Race Village and on the shore will have the chance to watch the event closer than ever before.

The Istanbul stage will end with an award ceremony on October 31st.

At the end of the two stages, where hundreds of competitors from all over the world will compete for the championship, the team with the best overall score will win the title of Presidential International Yacht Race champion and the Presidential Cup.
