OCEAN LAVA EXCITEMENT IN ÇEŞME

The first Turkish leg of Ocean Lava, one of the world's leading triathlon events, will be held in Çeşme. The event, which will host triathlon athletes and their families from all over the world on September 12-13, 2020, will transform Çeşme into the capital of sports tourism.

Swimming, cycling and running by one person is considered one of the most demanding sports in the world because it is practiced one after the other. The excitement of triathlon is coming to Izmir. The world's leading triathlon team Ocean Lava, which is accepted as one of the events of the year, will be held for the first time. The Turkish leg will be held in Çeşme on September 12-13, 2020. Event, Izmir Under the auspices of the Governorship, with the contributions of the Turkish Triathlon Federation, Izmir Hosted by the Metropolitan Municipality and Çeşme Municipality and organized by TRC Organization to be organized.

The promotional meeting of Ocean Lava Turkey event was held at Radisson Blu Resort & Spa Çeşme with the participation of Izmir Deputy Governor Erhan Günay, Mayor of Çeşme M. Ekrem Oran, Izmir Provincial Director of Youth and Sports Nuammer Uslu, President of Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Youth and Sports Club Ersan Odaman, President of Turkish Triathlon Federation Bayram Yalçınkaya and Ocean Lava Turkey Project Director Alper Şensan.

Erhan Günay: As the Governorate, we will take all necessary measures

Speaking at the opening of the introductory meeting, Izmir Deputy Governor Erhan Günay said, “We see the Ocean Lava Turkey organization as an important event in terms of developing and expanding sports tourism in our region. Therefore, it is obvious that we will show sensitivity to ensure that all necessary measures, especially the safety of the athletes, are fully fulfilled by our Governorship.”.

M. Ekrem Oran We are excited to host the organization

Çeşme Mayor M. Ekrem Oran said, “The fact that Ocean Lava Turkey will be held in our city has excited us as the host of the organization. We believe that Çeşme, which we define as the ‘Paradise on Earth’, will continue to increase its national and international recognition with such important international organizations.”.

Muammer Uslu: We support all initiatives that will make Izmir the capital of sports

Izmir Provincial Director of Youth and Sports Nuammer Uslu said, “We support all necessary initiatives to make Izmir the capital of sports. We believe that Ocean Lava Turkey also has this mission. We are ready to provide all the support we can.”.

Ersan Odaman: We are ready to offer all the opportunities of our city

Ersan Odaman, President of Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Youth and Sports Club, said, “As the Metropolitan Municipality, we always stand by sports and athletes. We are ready to bring all the facilities of our city together with athletes.”.

Bayram Yalçınkaya It will greatly benefit the promotion of our country

Stating that they are among the biggest supporters of the organization, Bayram Yalçınkaya, President of the Turkish Triathlon Federation, said: “As the Turkish Triathlon Federation, we are aware that the Ocean Lava Turkey organization will be of great benefit to both our sports community and the promotion of our country. As the biggest supporter of the organization, we hope that such events will continue to increase.”.  

Alper Şensan: Çeşme is home to one of the most difficult and enjoyable sports in the world will do

Expressing their happiness to bring one of the world's biggest events in its field to Turkey, Ocean Lava Turkey Project Director Alper Şensan said, “Çeşme, which is well known for its many beauties from all over the world, will become the capital of sports with triathlon this time. Triathlon is one of the most difficult sports in the world. Athletes not only push their own limits, but also engage in an arduous struggle with nature. On the other hand, beyond the competition, this sport offers an environment where athletes and their families from different countries come together, great friendships are established and very pleasant moments are experienced. We are now experiencing the excitement and pride of bringing one of the biggest events of this sport to Çeşme. We believe that holding the Turkish leg in Çeşme will make a significant contribution to the vision of extending the season to 12 months in the tourism regions of our country and promoting it through sports tourism. On this occasion, we would like to express our gratitude to Izmir Governorship, Izmir Metropolitan Municipality, Çeşme Municipality and Turkish Triathlon Federation for their support in the organization.”.
