The ship and yacht sector, one of the sectors most affected by the severe conditions of the pandemic, closed 2021 with a record export figure despite all the negativities. Reaching over 1.6 billion dollars in exports, the sector has already set the bar higher for 2022.
Founded in 2010, the Ship Yacht and Services Exporters' Association realized exports of 1 billion 375 million dollars in 2020. This figure was recorded as the highest exports realized since the establishment of the Union.
The sector, which is gradually increasing its competitiveness in world markets and is extremely successful in the application of innovative technologies to projects, achieved a historical first by exceeding the export figure of 1.6 billion dollars in 2021.
The Ship Yacht and Services Exporters' Association, which wants to exceed this historical success, aims to realize exports of 1.8 billion dollars in 2022.
