The Aegean's most established maritime festival once again filled its sails with wind this year.

This year's theme “For generations”, It summed up the spirit of the Bodrum Cup once again:
Sailing is not just a sport, it's a way of life.
A wreath was laid in the sea in memory of Necati Zincirkıran, who had worked tirelessly for the event for many years.
The ceremony was attended by Muğla Governor Dr. İdris Akbıyık, Bodrum District Governor Ali Sırmalı, Bodrum Mayor Tamer Mandalinci, Honorary President Erman Aras, and Committee President Süleyman Uysal.

Record Participation, Growing International Interest
Organizing Committee Chairman Süleyman Uysal stated that this year's participation was at a record level:
“This year, we have 65 racing yachts and 40 committee boats at sea. We have approximately 1,350 competitors, and the number is growing every day. The largest number of participants came from the Netherlands and Germany. The return of foreign teams to Bodrum after the pandemic is very valuable to us.”
Uysal also emphasized that they will be sailing on a course of approximately 120 miles and that their goal is to “bring the Bodrum Cup experience to sailing enthusiasts around the world.”.

Friendship Race in the Winds of the Aegean
Muğla Governor Dr. İdris Akbıyık highlighted the event's contribution to regional tourism, stating:
“Our goal is to spread tourism across all 12 months in Muğla. The Bodrum Cup is a very valuable event in this regard.”
