The Yenikapı Boat Show, described as “the most prestigious maritime exhibition held on land” in Turkey, opened its doors on December 16 at the Yenikapı Eurasia Exhibition and Arts Center.
The exhibition, organized by Artı Fuarcılık, featured over 150 brands from a total of 80 companies, 10 of which were foreign. Approximately 250 boats, yachts, and motorboats ranging in price from 130,000 lira to 50 million lira are on display at the exhibition.
The event was marked by an “acrobatic speedboat” worth 4.3 million lira.
The spacecraft-like marine vehicle can reach speeds of 63 kilometers per hour while traveling 3.5 meters below the water's surface, and speeds of 126 kilometers per hour on the surface. There is one such vehicle in Turkey, and it can turn 360 degrees underwater.
Approximately 500 foreign visitors and buyers from 20 countries are expected to attend the fair. The fair will span two weekends, providing participating companies with the opportunity to meet with many more marine enthusiasts.
