Yalıkavak Marina once again combined its passion for sailing with social responsibility projects at the 36th Bodrum Cup, which will take place between October 21-26, 2024.

Yalıkavak Marina aimed to instill a love of sailing in younger generations and contribute to the education of children with special needs through the projects it implemented at this year's Maximiles Black The Bodrum Cup. The “Let's Paint the Race Flags with Our Children” event was one of the most notable activities of the year. Held on October 9 in the garden of the Bodrum Health Foundation, the event allowed children to have fun while painting the race flags of the boats, thereby becoming part of the maritime culture. This event, which brought the seas together with colors, instilled a passion for sailing in children while also sparking their imagination.
The painted flags were presented to the racing boats along with special notes. The children who painted the flags will also have the opportunity to watch the start of the race on October 21 from their own special boats.
“We aim to spread social responsibility awareness to a wider audience.”

Yalıkavak Marina, Marina Director Deniz Akaltan kHe said the following about it: “As Yalıkavak Marina, our social responsibility projects primarily focus on the sea, environmental and nature conservation, animal rights, and supporting local communities. The Bodrum Cup, which reflects the excitement and competitive spirit of sailing, stands out not only for its sailing races but also for its social responsibility projects that touch the community. As Yalıkavak Marina, we are delighted to be part of this important organization and to support our Bodrum Health Foundation. With the support we provide for individuals with special needs, we aim to instill a maritime culture in younger generations and spread social responsibility awareness to wider audiences. Through such projects, Yalıkavak Marina will continue to take steps that benefit society in the maritime world.”
