Ağanlar Shipyard & Marina, International Boat Industry’It ranked 5th in a selection of the world’s leading maintenance, repair, and refit facilities published in the June–July 2026 issue of (IBI). As the only company from Turkey to make the list, Ağanlar was recognized as one of the leading facilities in the global refit market.

Erdem Ağan, CEO of Ağanlar Shipyard & Marina

Ağanlar’s visibility in the IBI had also drawn attention in the previous period. The company was once again ranked among the top 5 in the 2025 assessment prepared by the publication.

Erdem Ağan, CEO of Ağanlar Shipyard & Marina, noted that the ranking achieved in the IBI selection also highlights how Bodrum’s maritime heritage resonates in the modern superyacht world, stating, “It has become one of the key examples illustrating how Bodrum’s traditional yachting expertise meets today’s international superyacht maintenance and refit standards,” he says.

Founded in 1961 by Erol Ağan, Ağanlar—now under third-generation management—carries out maintenance, repair, refit, and rebuild projects for superyachts and megayachts. The facility, which spans approximately 50,000 square meters of land area, handles not only painting and deck work but also mechanical, electrical and electronic, carpentry, furniture, and metalwork.

The ability to manage different technical disciplines under a single operation is one of Ağanlar’s standout features, particularly in large-scale superyacht refit projects. The company’s ranking in IBI’s 2026 selection stands out as one of the latest indicators supporting Turkey’s international visibility in the superyacht maintenance, repair, and refit sector.
