The “Ship and Yacht Sector Workshop”, which brought together ship exporters, yacht exporters and sub-industry exporters, was organized by the Ship Yacht and Services Exporters' Association in Tuzla.
The Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, the Ministry of Trade and Turk Eximbank participated in the workshop at the level of general managers and heads of departments, and the main companies of Turkey's ship and yacht exports came together to discuss the problems of the sector. Almost all of the biggest exporter companies of the sector participated in the workshop.
The workshop started with a speech by Cem Seven, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Ship Yacht and Services Exporters' Association.
Seven said in his speech: “We are pleased that the sector has come together in all sub-groups to identify the problems in front of exports and to solve them, and the working report to be formed at the end of the day will be an important road map for the sector.”.
The workshop, which was attended by the Ministry of Trade, the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure and Turk Eximbank at the level of deputy general directors and heads of departments, included shipbuilding tables, yacht building industry tables and sub-industry tables, and was moderated by Piri Reis University.
In the first two sessions of the workshop, sector stakeholders expressed the problems they faced. In the concluding sessions held in the afternoon, solutions were proposed for the problems expressed.
It was informed that the final report of the workshop will be submitted to the relevant authorities and shared with the sector representatives by the Ship Yacht and Services Exporters' Association after it is finalized in the coming days.
