Sirius Marine signed a contract with Famor for a Ro-Ro ship

Sirius Marine, which operates in the newbuilding, repair, maintenance and service sector in the maritime industry, signed a contract with Famor for the sailing Ro-Ro vessel built at RMK Shipyard.

Sirius Marine was established in 2020 to operate in the maritime sector. Sirius Marine, which stands out with its young and dynamic identity, carries out its activities in the new construction, repair, maintenance and service sector in Turkey and Central Asia maritime market with the company it represents.  

The company signed a contract with the Polish Lighting and Electrical Equipment manufacturer Famor, which it represents, for the sailing Ro-Ro ship built at RMK Shipyard for the French company Neoline Armateur.

“The contract includes the supply of a complete interior and exterior lighting package”

Aysel Karahan, Founder and General Manager of the company, said: “The contract includes the supply of the complete interior and exterior lighting package of the ship, which is 136 meters long and has a cargo carrying capacity of 5000 tons. We are honored to take part in this special project. This cooperation is an important step in the maritime industry and a great progress in terms of sustainability. Famor and Sirius Marine coming together in this project will contribute to making future maritime transportation more environmentally friendly and innovative.”.

LED technology and traditional light sources are used

Famor, founded in Poland in 1952, is a manufacturer of comprehensive solutions in the field of lighting and electrical equipment. Today it produces complete lighting and electrical equipment, signaling and navigation beacons, low-voltage switchboards, control consoles, searchlights and floodlights using LED technology and traditional light sources.

Famor products are used in different sectors such as commercial vessels, offshore platforms and drilling rigs, and are also preferred in construction, mining, chemical industry, hospitals and passenger transportation. 

Quality certificate

Quality certificates such as AQUAP 2110, NATO Certification, ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 show the importance Famor attaches to quality.
