The 3rd Presidential International Yacht Races, the only yacht race in the world to be held between two continents, will start on October 28. Within the scope of the Istanbul stage of the races, which are also included in the 2022 calendar of the Turkish Sailing Federation, the Barbaros Hayreddin Pasha Cup will be held on the Caddebostan-Adalar Course on October 28, the Republic Cup on the Bosphorus Course on October 29 and the Blue Homeland Cup on the Moda-Adalar Course on October 30.
Foreign athletes from 23 countries are participating in the races that will take place on October 28-30. Racers from all over the world will compete for the Republic Cup on a magnificent course between two continents in the Bosphorus. The Republic Cup races will start on October 29 with a moment of silence in front of Dolmabahçe in honor of Atatürk and his comrades-in-arms.

At the end of the two stages of the 3rd Presidential International Yacht Races, the team with the best overall score will be crowned the 3rd Presidential International Yacht Race Champion and receive the Presidential Cup. The Istanbul stage will end on October 30th with a spectacular award ceremony to be held at Tersane Istanbul.
Ekrem Yemlihaoğlu, President of Istanbul Offshore Yacht Racing Club, which brought the 3rd Presidential International Yacht Races to Turkey, reminded that the first stage of the races was held in Muğla's Marmaris district between 25-27 May and said, “We held the Marmaris stage with the participation of 400 athletes from Spain, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Portugal, Italy, Slovenia, France, Germany, Austria, Hungary, Belarus, Lithuania and the UK as well as Turkey. Every year the momentum is gradually increasing and international participation is increasing.”.
