YALIKAVAK MARINA COMPETES TO MAINTAIN ITS TITLE

Yalıkavak Marina, the pride of Turkey, is preparing to make a difference in the 2021 season with the special privileges it offers its guests..

The British Yacht Harbour Association (TYHA), one of the most prestigious institutions in the global yachting industry, has awarded it the “2020 Best International Marina” and “2018-2019 World's Best Superyacht Marina” awards, and it has also been awarded 5 Golden Anchors by TYHA. Yalıkavak Marina, It continues to invest in all marina operations to maximize service quality and create a luxurious lifestyle atmosphere.

Yalıkavak Marina, which was voted by boat owners and sea enthusiasts as the ‘World's Best International Marina,’ expressed its delight at bringing great pride to our country once again. The Marina Director began his remarks by saying, Deniz Akaltan, “The “Best Super Yacht Marina of the Year” award we won in the 2018-2019 voting and the “Best International Marina” award we won this year are both firsts for our country. We would like to once again express our gratitude to all our friends and valued members of the press for their support in bringing these consecutive awards to our country, as Turkey's first high-capacity mega yacht marina, and for their contributions to this great achievement.”.

2020 saw a season with heavy boat traffic

Akaltan stated that Yalıkavak Marina earned the appreciation of its customers and guests by making outstanding efforts in the fight against Covid-19, adding, “In 2020, we saw a significant increase in the number of boats signing long-term contracts, regardless of the impact of the pandemic. We continued our operations in strict compliance with all health and safety measures and ended the season without encountering the slightest problem. Thanks to some important projects we carried out, we raised Bodrum's already high luxury tourism profile even higher and created brand new business opportunities by increasing the number of visits by high-spending travelers. We opened Turkey's first Dior pop-up store as well as the first Novikov Bodrum restaurant. We even went a step further and collaborated with Dior on a very special Bodrum collection.”.

We expect to reach nearly 100% occupancy in 2021.

In 2021, Akaltan stated that they will continue to work hard to expand the luxury offerings at Yalıkavak Marina in the ultra-luxury retail, jewelry/watch, and food and beverage sectors. “We have established a highly professional team for this purpose and are working very intensively. Our goal is to increase the number of high-income foreign tourists visiting our marina and, consequently, the inflow of foreign currency into our country. We are currently in close contact with different brands that are positioned in the upper segment of the global market. Once we finalize our agreements, we aim to realize investments that will be extremely beneficial for both our region and our country and will generate foreign currency inflows. As Yalıkavak Marina, our goal is to make Turkey one of the world's best and most professional luxury resort destinations. In 2020, more than 1,000 boats visited our marina, and more than 100 of them were superyachts, including the iconic M/Y Madame Gu, M/Y Voice, M/Y Arrow, and M/Y Vertige. Tourists arriving in our country on superyachts are the group that spends the most foreign currency per person, so the future is of great importance. This year, we expect to welcome 2 million visitors to our marina and anticipate reaching nearly 100% occupancy. As Yalıkavak Marina, we are also strengthening the region's appeal as a hub through new investments and the addition of stores/brands.’.

Akaltan announced their new campaign, stating that Yalıkavak Marina, which brings world-renowned brands to Bodrum and continues to invest in iconic projects, will offer brand new privileges to their guests and boat enthusiasts.

Yalıkavak Marina welcomes the 2021 season with amazing offers once again!

Yalıkavak Marina offers boat owners world-class service and maintenance for their boats, while also enabling their loved ones and crew to discover Yalıkavak Marina.
